Summary Background/introduction Vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) potentially leads to renal damage, scarring, and eventually end-stage renal disease. Endoscopic treatment is well tolerated in children, it has reduced costs, and it effectively prevents urinary tract infections (UTIs), while avoiding long term antibiotics use.
